Fantasmagoria!

November 28, 2009

Yesterday morning, I experienced one of the most exhilarating  experiences: the discovery of a truly amazing breakfast creation.

It may not be a photograph of Paris Hilton reading a book without pictures, but it’s just as incredible in my eyes.

Pumpkin-Molasses Oats w/ chopped Cameo Apple

So good, I had it twice. This is today’s bowl, all mixed up with an AB drizzle. I’m sure many have made our favorite Everythingtarian’s Vegan Pumpkin Molasses Cookies! And that’s pretty much what this bowl tasted like.

Here’s yesterday’s lunch: Leftover Roasted Veggie Salad with some jellied cranberry and balsamic vinegar. SO GOOD. I finished off ALL of the leftover veggies 😉Last night I got a little bored… and noticed that Zoe couldn’t see because she has bangs! I helped her out by putting a bobby pin on her to hold them up, and she actually didn’t try and get it off! I think she looks like Pebbles.

So, overall, my Thanksgiving break has been fantastic. In comparison to this time last year, I have mentally and physically undergone some changes. I’m so much more comfortable in my own skin, in my new environment, in my own thoughts. I’m healthier and stronger. I’ve eaten intuitively. Yes, I have felt slight sensations of guilt sometimes, but then it is washed away by what really matters: my happiness, my family, my future.  If we can’t enjoy ourselves and the things that really matter during the Holiday Season, then when can we? I don’t know about you, but during this time of year I feel like it’s an obligatory condition that one must smile and live everyday. We have to let go of the little things that cause sleep loss and grey hair, and start to embrace everything we are so blessed to have. Our bodies for providing us with movement, strength, and agility. Our minds for opening doors once closed. Our family for helping us across the yellow brick road. We just have to remember to breathe, and smile. Look in the mirror and love what you see.

I know everyone’s heard this a thousand and one times, but it’s true!

Have a stupendous weekend!

I love your realizations about the holidays. Doesn’t make you wonder how we ever wasted a moment getting hung up on the things that don’t matter?

I’m not sure how to feel about the fact that I’m doing the same thing with my bangs that your dog is. 😉
